What information this pre-launch service records, why it is needed, and how to raise a data request.

1. Who operates this service

BENCH/GRADE is currently a pre-launch project, not a disclosed incorporated merchant. The project operator controls the information submitted through this site. A legal merchant name, business address, and updated notice will be published before any binding paid sale. For privacy questions or rights requests, use the contact form and select “Privacy or data request.”

2. Information we collect

  • Contact details you submit, including name, email and optional phone number.
  • Sourcing, support, order-request and delivery details you choose to provide.
  • Account credentials in protected form, authentication records and security logs.
  • Product options, quantities, compatibility selections and request references.
  • Essential browser storage for theme choice, cart state and signed-in session state.
  • Anonymous storefront event counts such as page and article views, product and builder activity, availability-request views, and article links opened to the catalog or builder. These records may include the page path, related product or variant identifier, external referrer hostname, and UTM source, medium, or campaign labels. We do not store the full referrer URL, search query, IP address, user agent, cookie identifier, email, or persistent visitor identifier with these events.

Do not submit card details, passwords, government identifiers or special-category/sensitive information. This site does not currently collect online card or bank payments.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer a request and take steps you asked for before any possible contract.
  • To verify product sourcing, compatibility, destination eligibility and delivery feasibility.
  • To operate accounts, prevent abuse, protect the service and keep an audit trail.
  • To comply with legal duties if a binding transaction is later agreed.

We do not use a sourcing or support request as consent for unrelated marketing.

4. Sharing and international processing

Information is processed by the hosting and technical systems needed to operate the site. Submitting a request does not automatically send your personal details to a supplier. If supplier involvement is required, only the information needed for sourcing or fulfilment will be shared after the commercial route is confirmed. Cross-border safeguards and provider details will be completed in the notice before paid sales begin.

5. Retention and security

Requests are kept while they are active and afterwards only as long as reasonably needed for support, fraud prevention, audit and legal requirements. Closed pre-launch requests are reviewed for deletion or anonymisation within 24 months unless a longer record is required. Access is restricted to administrators; authentication, rate limits, security headers and unpredictable lookup tokens are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a copy, or complain to a supervisory authority. Send a traceable request through Contact. We may need enough information to verify that the request concerns you. You can clear non-essential local cart and theme data in your browser; signing out removes the active session from this device.

7. Changes

This notice will be revised when the merchant entity, payment provider, suppliers, analytics tools or processing locations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
